About the Biotech Campus Delft
Since 1869, the Biotech Campus Delft (BCD) has been the Dutch center of excellence for industrial biotech. Today, DSM is the biggest company on campus, owning 40 hectares of land that offers a workplace for ~1200 people working in biotech R&D, business, scale up or production. Since 2019 the BCD has gone through a transformation to develop into an open innovation hub for biotech and food tech. DSM, TU Delft, Municipality of Delft, Province of South Holland, and InnovationQuarter jointly founded Planet B.io as a foundation dedicated to building a thriving biotech hub on the BCD. In just 3 years, the community on the BCD has grown from 3 to 19 companies. In the upcoming years, several new buildings will be added on campus requiring further expansion of Planet B.io’s activities.
