ExCulture is a biotech company developing an animal-free, next-generation alternative to heparin, a widely used blood thinner, using a microbial fermentation process. MUCHgroup
MUCHgroup is a food-tech startup that upcycles underutilized shiitake mushroom stems into MUCHroom, a clean-label fungal ingredient that forms the basis for healthier, minimally processed meat alternatives. With support from a Kansen voor West advisory voucher, the team is working on scaling their production process from artisanal to industrial level, laying the foundation for reliable large-scale manufacturing. Roylinx
Roylinx is a TU Delft spin-off developing 100% bio-based, recyclable materials made from agricultural and lignocellulosic waste, designed for applications such as construction, urban design, and sustainable packaging. CellForce Solutions
CellForce Solutions is a deep-tech startup developing nanotechnology-enabled devices that analyze the motility and biomechanical responses of microorganisms at the single-cell level. Hologenomix
Hologenomix provides advanced nucleic acid analysis services and technologies, supporting biotech and life science innovation with high-quality DNA insights. With support from a Kansen voor West establishment voucher, the company is further developing its HFX platform, which focuses on generating multi-omics profiles from cell-free DNA. This action strengthens Hologenomix’s capabilities in emerging diagnostic and precision medicine applications while reinforcing collaborative innovation.
Nature’s Principles
Nature’s Principles is developing a sustainable biotechnology platform for producing lactic acid from renewable, unrefined feedstocks using an innovative fermentation process. With support from a Kansen voor West advisory voucher, the company is strengthening its business and fundraising strategy to accelerate growth toward commercial deployment. Carapace Biopolymers
Carapace Biopolymers develops bio-based, biodegradable seed and fertilizer coatings that replace fossil-based plastics and prevent microplastic pollution in agriculture. Proeon Foods is a Delft-based food innovation startup developing sustainable, plant-based protein ingredients, including a high-protein peanut protein isolate. With support from a Kansen voor West advisory voucher, Proeon is taking important steps to clarify the regulatory pathway for market entry in the European Union. This support helps improve the introduction of a new, locally developed protein ingredient, strengthening the plant-based protein landscape within the Planet B.io ecosystem.
Foamlab
Foamlab is developing a fully circular, biodegradable nano foam made from bacterial cellulose, targeting applications such as high-end insulation. ArtinBio Consultancy Services
ArtinBio is transitioning from a consultancy into a biotechnology development company focused on sustainable bioprocesses for microbial fats, oils, and other lipophilic compounds.
